Job description

As an International Buyer (wholesale) you’ll be responsible for buying cars across Europe. This will also include comparing prices and specifications of (new) cars across various countries, and updating our database with relevant market intelligence. You’ll work in a team to create the best possible buys in close cooperation with traders of various nationalities, that will provide you with buying opportunities. You make the decision on whether or not these opportunities are worth pursuing.

You are the subject matter expert when it comes to makes, models, specifications and pricing of cares throughout Europe, for your team members as well as your customers, comprising of importers, dealers, wholesalers, rental companies, lease companies et cetera. You will be challenged to define the most effective market approach from a buying perspective. This is an office based role, no travel required unless occasionally.

Requirements

- BA/Bsc or MA/Msc level educational background
- At least 2-4 years relevant experience (see below)
- Proven experience within the automotive field in a buying role, preferably related to a variety of brands and makes
- An ideal background would be from a lease company, rental company or wholesaler
- You are Intelligent, commercial, flexible, accurate, results oriented and a team player
- You have a very strong personality and are able to hit the ground running in a very dynamic and competitive market, enabling you to use your buying skills to ensure the best possible margins and deals
- You’re fluent in English
- Fluency in one or more other European languages is considered an advantage

Applicants without proven relevant experience and knowledge, including excellent English language skills, will unfortunately not be considered. Having a background in the automotive industry is mandatory.
